FRIDAY MORNING CLUB
Every Tuesday and Friday, during the season, both members and the public are welcome to come along and try the game of bowls. The Brentham Bowls Green is open to any visitor who would like to take part in a supervised session. You need to arrive at 9.45 am for bowls from 10 am to noon. The club has all the equipment but you need to bring flat shoes (no heels). The cost is £2 but free to bowls members of the club.
The green is open to bowls members to practice and play during the day and evening (subject to weather and green maintenance work). The club has a full programme of friendly and league fixtures during the season (mid-April to end September) including a series of mixed mid-week matches.
The Men compete in the Middlesex League, E&D 321 League and the Ad Fin League. The Women compete in the Ealing and District Monday Night League.
In addition to the league games, there are competitions which are open to all playing members. We hold our own club competitions with a Finals Day held at the end of the season. Members can also enter Middlesex Competitions, National Competitions and Ealing and District competitions.
See for Yourself
Please feel free to come and have a go – it is strangely addictive! To find out more, please ring the main club on 020 8997 2624 and ask for contact details for Bob Worley. We will take you through the ropes. All you will need to bring is some flat shoes or trainers - we have spare woods for you to attempt your first wood. So come on – give it a go! Better to be over 16 yer old to hold the woods but there is no upper age limit at all!
