Coronavirus (Covid-19) - latest update TENNIS(ENGLAND) 5th November 2020
Lockdown restrictions affecting junior coaching
Dear Coaching pupils and Parents
The Government has announced new national restrictions for England between Thursday 5 November – Wednesday 2 December 2020.
Despite the LTA and tennis community making a strong case to Government, we can confirm that the new restrictions mean that tennis activity in England is not permitted for the duration of the national lockdown, as a result of the closure of all outdoor and indoor facilities. The only exceptions to this are for elite tennis players, and for tennis activity in schools, colleges, and other educational establishments as part of education.
Whilst we are disappointed with the outcome, we must urge all involved with tennis in England to adhere to the decision that the Government has taken.
We know these restrictions will have a significant impact on the whole tennis community, and our focus now will switch to campaigning to ensure that as much grassroots tennis activity as possible can resume as soon as possible, including both indoor and outdoor tennis. (Official LTA UPDATE)
Just when we were getting back to normal with coaching we have had to stop again. It has been great being back on court with my groups and individual lessons. The junior groups will miss 4 sessions which brings us up to re start (hopefully) on the Wednesday 3rd December. I will be offering 2 options:
Option 1: a refund for the 4 weeks to all those who have paid up to date.
Option 2: to add onto the new term starting in January 2021.
Please confirm which option you would prefer.
If you would like a refund please e-mail email@example.com with REFUND OF GROUP SESSIONS in the subject and confirm your payment details for your refund.
I hope these options are acceptable with everyone.
Thank you for your continued support as always.
Stay safe and Best Regards
James Fiordelisi (Head Coach)
