The Brentham Bowls Club Green and Pavillion

Brentham Club - Bowls. As a Brentham club bowls member, there is something for everyone. You can have a roll-up (a practice), play in our internal competitions or play matches against other teams in Middlesex. You will have free use of the bowls green throughout the summer months and full use of the main clubhouse facilities. We have separate Men’s and Ladies’ Committees who work closely together to organise a full fixture list including some mixed bowls matches and competitions.

See for Yourself

Please feel free to come and have a go – it is strangely addictive! We know bowls has a “senior citizen image” but is played by all ages. To find our more, please ring the main club on 020 8997 2624 and ask for contact details for either Dot Brown (Ladies’ Bowls) or Bob Worley (Men’s Bowls). They will take you through the ropes. All you will need to bring is some flat shoes or trainers - we have spare woods for you to attempt your first wood. You could also come and join an over 50s’ group on Friday mornings. Just turn up, watch and talk to some of the Brentham players. So come on – give it a go!

Competitions

Brentham Club - Bowls.During the year there are many internal club competitions including singles, 2 woods, handicap pairs, married pairs, Australian pairs and, of course, the highly competitive Ladies versus the Men match!! There is also the opportunity to enter local district and Middlesex County competitions.

Honours

The club won the George Cairns League in 2004. Barry Burgess was runner-up in the Middlesex County Singles Competition in 2006 and Frankie Cable has the honour of being the 2007 Middlesex President.

Social Events

We organise numerous social events throughout the year including a charity bowls day, a quiz night, theatre trips and the annual dinner. Every year the bowls section host a fun evening where teams from the different sections of the Brentham Club come along to play bowls.

Excellent Value for Money

Our membership fees are highly competitive compared with other clubs in the area. There are no green fees and you do not have to cut the grass and roll the green before you start to play. For full details of all membership categories click here.
